"Without my arms, I could not have written this motto."
-Founder of the NSPVA
About Us:
This is a National Society made up of...you guessed it, people who value their arms! That's just about it. For now.
Please check the News Page regularly for NSPVA news and messages.
For info on becoming a member or a client, look at the membership or client-ship pages, respectively.
History:
The NSPVA was inspired by the British motoring show, Top Gear. There was an episode in which they had to make a commercial for the Volkswagen Scirocco TDI. One of there attempts was about a person who was in the hospital because his arms had been sheered off in a car crash. His friend came in and told him about the safety features on the Scirocco TDI, and the commercial ended with the narrator saying, "The Scirocco TDI, for people who value their arms." Then, I thought about how funny it would be to use "Hello. You have reached the National Society of People who Value their Arms," as the message that plays before the beep in an answering machine. Then, I told my friends about starting this, and he we are today.
Our goal is to appreciate our arms and, basically, have a good time. We are not like the Arm Patriots, our main rivals, who go door to door for members and make this sort of thing their life purpose. Nor are we like the NSPVL (The National Society of People who Value their Legs), who are trying to abolish wheelchairs so that people take better care of their legs. Then, of course, there's the National Society of People who Value their Ankles, but they have only 1 member and aren't very important right now.
You think this is just plain wierd? Good for you. But you can try going for one day, or even just one hour, without using your arms in any way, shape, or form, and you will see just how important they are.
